A Unifying Framework for Parallel and Distributed Processing in R using Futures

چکیده

A future is a programming construct designed for concurrent and asynchronous evaluation of code, making it particularly useful parallel processing. The package implements the Future API with futures in R. This minimal provides sufficient constructs implementing versions well-established, high-level map-reduce APIs. ecosystem supports exception handling, output condition relaying, random number generation, automatic identification globals lowering threshold to parallelize code. bridges frontends backends following philosophy that end-users are ones who choose backend while developer focuses on what parallelize. variety exist third-party contributions meeting specifications, which ensure same code works all backends, automatically supported. framework solves several problems not addressed by other frameworks
